The building of the Marmorosch Hotel Bucharest was initially occupied by a bank founded in 1865 by the Romanian banker Jacob Marmorosch together with his associate and brother-in-law, Jacob Löbel. In 1874, following the association with Mauriciu Blank, the bank was renamed Marmorosch, Blank & Co.
Hotel Marmorosch Bucharest has 217 rooms, a restaurant (named Blank, after one of the former bankers) and a bar & lounge, which bears Blank's full name, with a total capacity of about 200 guests.
The Bose Professional Division in Romania provided the necessary equipment for sound control in order to obtain a different volume, depending on the requirements, in different spaces of this hotel: restaurant, common areas, lounge, terrace.
In each area of the hotel, the sound can be controlled locally via the CC-2D, CC-1D, CC-1 buttons, and globally, from the reception. In addition, any laptop can be connected via a Local Input Module for an easy playlist setup.
For the lobby, restaurant, ballroom, but also for the pre-function area (the reception area near the bar), where the aim was to obtain a clear sound, with a strong bass, which would allow conversations, there were chosen some Bose Freespace DS 100SE speakers.
The safe of the former bank was transformed into a bar called The Vault, which has a unique concept, a mix between the original architecture and the modern technology, represented by the Bose equipment. For this space, in which the aim was to obtain a subtle but clear sound effect of the background or the foreground music, in order to allow the conversations to be carried on without impediments, there were chosen some Bose Freespace DS 40SE built-in speakers, that are hidden from the view of the guests. The same model was chosen for the lounge, since the same result was desired.
In the lobby and at the reception, in order to offer visitors the special experience of a background ambient sound, which still allows conversations to be carried out, there were installed some Bose DS 16SE speakers.
The same Bose DS 16SE speakers create a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere with low volume music in the SPA and massage area.
The ambience in the meeting room and SPA was created by using speakers that can be easily controlled with the help of two Bose PS404 amplifiers. For the other spaces, this sound control was obtained by using a Bose PM8250N Powermatch amplifier. These equipments of high-performance are efficient and easy to install, perfectly adaptable to the customer's requirements and needs.
During this major project, Bose Professional in Romania, through its partner, Optim Project Management, focused on finding state-of-the-art sound solutions while still keeping intact the originality of this historic monument. Thus, Marmorosch Hotel Bucharest has entered our projects portfolio, proving once again that success is born where experience, tradition and innovation meet.
